Summer News 2018
Hello friends and music lovers,
The year is running by so fast! In May I hosted the first JOSHUA TREE GUITAR NIGHT featuring Nick Milo (Joe Cocker, Tower of Power) and more Guitar Nights are planned in the Hi Desert. I have a number of special guests lined up, I will keep you updated about future events!
Both of my local residences continue this Summer – Every Thursday night at the Yucca Valley golf club with the Roost Trio and monthly at the fabulous 29 Plams Inn, playing 3 sets of Solo Guitar every second Friday.

JOSHUA TREE GUITAR NIGHT
The first JOSHUA TREE GUITAR NIGHT was a great success, I combined my local trio with keyboard legend Nick Milo (Tower Of Power, Joe Cocker) who enjoys the Hi Desert vibes and put on a great show with us.
More Guitar Nights will come shortly, and although I’m not announcing anything yet I can tell you I have some amazing guitar players, bassists and other musicians lined up. I am exploring locations in the Hi Desert and I’m looking forward to get back to y’all with more great news about this soon.

Brand-New Mini-Album released featuring Stu Hamm!
Happy 4th of July friends and music lovers! I just released two brand new tunes packaged in a mini-album “The Rebirth of the Summer Snow”!Ā The music is inspired by the books and the true story of chinese-american artist and writer Jossda.
The first tune, Summer Snow, featuresĀ Stu Hamm on bass. Stu is one of my all time bass guitar heroes and has recorded and toured extensively with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
The second tune, Talisman, is deep and mystical, capturingĀ the vibe of Asia and Jossda’s moving and emotional story. It features driving acoustic guitars and a haunting melody.

Summer Jazz Residence at the golf course!
This is the summer of Jazz! My local trio has a weekly show at Hawk’s Landing golf course. Come see us every Thursday from 6:30PM – 8:30PM, and enjoy some amazing food, good company and two sets of burning jazz tunes!

New Video! Drone flight over Montana
Montana Drone Video
New Video! I was stoked when I was asked to compose the soundtrack to this cool drone video. I used the ’66 Strat in a stereo setup. Big sound!
I recorded my 1966 Fender Stratocaster in stereo with a TC electronics Flashback delay, Fender Super Reverb (w amp reverb ON) one side, and an Electrosonic “Solaris” (boutique Fender style amp) with a 2×12 cabinet other side, no reverb. Second guitar is same setup but added a Prince of Tone for distortion and played with an ebow. The solo guitar is the same as ebow setup but then played with pick. In the mix I added a little bit of compression – that’s it! Enjoy!ļ»æ

Happy New Year 2017
My first full length album Double Take was very well received throughout the year of 2016. I was very happy to see a whole lot of excellent reviews in national and international guitar and music magazines, including Vintage Guitar Magazine and Modern Drummer Magazine.
This year my band played a series of really fun shows in the Los Angeles area, and through the summer I played a weekly jazz show at the local golf club. I am looking forward to playing more shows in 2017, writing more music and releasing more material.

Micha appears in Modern Drummer Magazine!
DOUBLE TAKE received an excellent review in the August edition of Modern Drummer Magazine. Chad Wackerman, who started out playing drums for Frank Zappa, played on both the 2013 EP ‘Wings Of Fire’ and recent album ‘Double Take’ (2015).
Modern Drummer Magazine highlights Chad’s tasty playing on my record – “all tight and funky”. I am stoked to receive this great review, which will be seen by millions of music enthusiasts around the world!
